Goals

• Coordinate maintenance of library-related content
• Develop and discuss proposals for improvements to Wikimedia (especially literature-related sites) based on library experience
• Assist at the Wikipedia Reference Desk
• Assist with categorization

Scope

This WikiProject covers all areas of library and information science, including (but not limited to):

• Libraries, librarians, and librarianship in all its aspects (historical, fictional, ancient to contemporary and beyond!).
• All areas of information science, including information organization, retrieval, search, access, and manipulation (sometimes overlapping with WikiProject Computer Science).
• Archives, archivists, and archival science.
• Preservation and conservation of recorded information (sometimes overlapping with WikiProject Museums).
