Wes Slajchert is an American college basketball player for Dartmouth College in the Ivy League.

High School Career[edit]

Slajchert attended Oak Park High School in Oak Park, California.[1] In Slajchert's debut high school game, he scored a buzzer beater to defeat Leuzinger High School 51-49.[2] Throughout his high school career, Slajchert competed in the Coastal Canyon League in California’s Ventura County. Over four years, Slajchert's teams went 32-0 in the league, winning the Coastal Canyon League title four times. [3]. During his sophomore season, Slajchert led his team to a CIF Southern Section Division 3AA championship by defeating Bonita High School 68-49.[4] By his senior season, Slajchert earned a 3-star recruiting ranking.[5] Slajchert finished his high school career with 1,398 points, 752 rebounds, and 801 assists. He holds the Ventura County career records for assists and triple-doubles.[6]

On August 21, 2017, Slajchert committed to play college basketball for Dartmouth College in the Ivy League.[7]

In Slajchert’s freshman season, he played in all 30 games and started in 5 of them.[8]

Personal[edit]

Slajchert was born in Thousand Oaks, California. He is the son of Davis and Laura Slajchert and has 3 brothers. His brother, JD, played basketball at University of California, Santa Barbara from 2014-2018.
