Tango Ncetezo (born 21 December 1984), is a South African actress best known for starring in South African TV series',A place called home, Rockville (TV series) and The River (TV series).[1]

Early life[edit]
Tango Ncetezo was born in Johannesburg and raised in the East rand,an area east of Johannesburg.She is a graduate of AFDA, South Africa's most prestigous film and drama school.[2]
Career[edit]
A professionally trained actress,her first acting role was in season 1 of Angels song in 2006 where she starred as a casting director.She first gained wider recognition in 2008 in her role as Lindiwe on the second season of SABC 1's A place called home.She followed up by starring as Phumie in Mtunzini.com.,and as Tshephi in the second season of TV series Society.[3]
In 2010, she starred as Yoli in season 10 of South Africa's long running hit TV series,Soul City. In 2012,she starred as young Slindile in Mzansi Magic's telenovella iNkaba.She starred opposite legendary South African actors,John Kani,Magic Hlatshwayo and Baby Cele.She followed this up by starring as Rose Bacqua in the TV series Endgame and as a nurse on the sitcom Single Guyz.The followibg year she starred in South African comedian David Kau's comedy mini-series Taxi driver,based on the 2012 movie of the same name.[4]
2014 would prove to be one of her most successful years to date.She landed the role of Mapule Pule on Mzansi Magic's primetime new hit drama series Zabalaza.The same year she went onto to star as the bubbly and lovable Peggy in the popular hit drama series Rockville,alongside creators of the show Connie Ferguson and Shona Ferguson.Her performance in Rockville earned her more acclaim and popularity amongst viewers.She starred from season 2 till the 4th and final season.[5]
In 2018,she landed the role of Paulina,the long suffering girlfriend of township hustler Thuso played by Presley Chweneyagae from Tsotsi fame on M-net's highly successful series,The River.The River has gone on to become one of South Africa's most popular shows earning critical praise and a large viewership.Due to the shows popularity,Tango Ncetezo has proven to be one of South Africa's most sought after actresses.[6]
