May Mobility is a self-driving vehicle transportation and technology company based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The company is focused on using autonomous transportation to solve last mile transportation problems.[1] Currently it primarily transports passengers and has sites operating in Michigan, Ohio, and Rhode Island. The company uses 6 seat Polaris GEM electric shuttles, which are modified to operate autonomously.[2]

History[edit]

May Mobility first revealed itself at the 2017 Y Combinator demo day.[3] In June of 2018 May Mobility launched its first site in Detroit, Michigan, in partnership with Bedrock. The site operates a 1-mile loop that connects the Bricktown Parking Garage to the Campus Martius and First National Buildings in downtown Detroit.[4] Since then they have opened sites in Grand Rapids, MI; Columbus, OH; and Providence, RI[5]
