The Hertha Sponer Prize is a scientific prize awarded by the German Physical Society. It was established in 2002 and is awarded annually to an outstanding female physicist. It aims to give public recognition to excellent work by women in science and through that increase the share of women in physics.[1]

The prize is named after the German physicist Hertha Sponer (1895-1986), who made important contributions to molecular physics and spectroscopy.
