Hendrith Vanlon Smith, Jr. (Born August 15, 1989 in Daytona Beach, Florida) is an American Author, Congressional Candidate, Banker, Blues Singer and the CEO of investment firm Mayflower-Plymouth Capital LLC. He was also the Founder and Executive Director of [1]The Poinciana Wellness Center, a Florida charity, from 2013 to 2016. Hendrith attended Bethune-Cookman University where he studied Business Administration and Howard University where he studied Social Work. Hendrith is the author of 21 books. [2]


Early Life[edit]

Hendrith Vanlon Smith, Jr was born in Daytona Beach Florida to mother Marie J. Smith and father Hendrith V.A. Smith, two lawyers, on August 15, 1989. He is of Afro-Bahamian and Afro-Panamanian descent. He grew up in the suberbs of Southern Maryland, in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Areaand graduated from Potomac High School in Oxon Hill Maryland in 2007.

In 2009, Hendrith was arrested and served two weeks jail time. Little is known of the circumstances of the arrest.


Congressional Campaign[edit]

On June 14, 2019, [3]Hendrith filed to run for Congress as a Democrat in the 9th Congressional District of Florida, challenging incumbent Darren Soto in the 2020 United States House of Representatives elections in Florida His committee is 'Hendrith Smith for Congress'.[4] An article was released on June 16 disclosing the campaign. Banking Career[edit]

Hendrith was a Client Associate Banker in the GWIM division at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Jacksonville, after their acquisition by Bank of America. He was also a NMLS licensed Mortgage Banker for BB&T Bank[10]. His book, 'Essays on The Banking Industry' is covers trends and forecasts for the Banking Industry.
