  • Symbol opinion vote.svg Comment: Most coverage is book-tour PR. interview is not WP:SECONDARY coverage. [1] does not appear to be particularly reliable. ~Kvng (talk) 16:54, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
  • Symbol opinion vote.svg Comment: The sourcing seems on Jennings writing career seems a bit borderline, since one source is affiliated with the award he won and the other is a blog.

His encounter with Jessica Alba, while interesting to read about, doesn't make him notable.  I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 02:00, 21 February 2019 (UTC)

David Lawrence Jennings (born 16 September, 1981), writing under the pen name D.L. Jennings, is an American author and veteran of the United States Air Force[1][2][3][4][5][6]. His debut novel, Gift of the Shaper, won the 2018 Beverly Hills Book Awards[1][7] in the category of Fantasy. He is a graduate of Bellevue University in Nebraska[8].

Personal life[edit]

Jennings is a 14-year Active Duty veteran of the United States Air Force, having served under the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) for over 10 years[2][6]. Jennings has stated that, over the course of several deployments, he wrote his debut novel by typing it on the touchscreen on his iPad[3][6][9].

In 2017, a story about Jennings and actress Jessica Alba went viral[5][10]. One of Jennings’s friends was at a deli in Monterey, CA, when they spotted one of Jennings' picture, with one minor detail changed: the picture was identical to Jennings’s photo of him and Jessica Alba -- but Jennings had been cropped out of the photo entirely. Jennings posted the entire story on Imgur, including photographic proof of the cropped picture[11], noting that he had never even been to the deli[10].
